Due to the COVID-19 virus, the doors of Bodyline were completely closed between Monday March 16 and Monday May 18, 2020. The 18th of May we were allowed to enter the pool again and we started our outdoor sports activities. Fortunately, our accommodations have been fully opened again since the 1st of July.
There is no scenario for a situation like the past few months. In a mandatory closing period you, as a customer, and we as an organisation are at a disadvantage. The many Facebook live lessons, workout videos and the borrowing of sports equipment and spinning bikes is what we could do to keep you motivate. During the closing period we’ve also done our annual maintenance, which we normally close a week for during the summer.
We started communicating compensatory measures in March, which we can implement from September onwards. These compensatory measures cover the second half of March and the whole of April. Members who were members of Bodyline in March and April 2020 are eligible for compensation of part of the membership fee. It is up to you as a (former) member to decide whether or not to use this.
The following has already been communicated to you regarding the compensation:
– March: We can compensate 50% of your subscription costs (from March 16, 2020).
– April: We can compensate 50% of your subscription costs.
On the 18th of May we started with our outdoor lessons and all pool activities. For this reason you, as a customer have only paid half of the month of May.
You can estimate the average amount of your compensation by taking 75% of one month's amount. Due to our wide range, there are certainly exceptions to this general rule and we will assess each application individually. This individual assessment takes time, we ask for your understanding. Despite your support and the partial support of the government, we cannot compensate everyone at the same time. Ultimately, fitness companies have high fixed costs and the number of members has shrunk considerably. This is why we will process the compensation requests at different times during the period September to December.
